Kids & Youth
We love children at Hayes Lane! It’s so important to invest in the next generation, sharing God’s Word with them, and of course having lots of fun!
Our kids activities are suitable for babies right through to teenagers, so take a look on this page to see which activities your kids can join.
We take Safeguarding very seriously. So whichever group they’re part of, you can be sure that our leaders and helpers are experienced and hold current DBS certificates. You can view our Safeguarding policy here.
Sunday School & Crèche
Age: Nursery & Primary SchoolDuring our Sunday services, we run a Sunday School and Crèche for the children we have with us. After the first part of the service where we’re all together, kids of infant age upwards go to the church hall for a time of supervised activities and Bible stories.
We also have a crèche area where parents can take their young ones, with lots of toys and a feed so you can still see and hear the service.
You can find out more about our Sunday services here.
First Steps
Age: Babies & Pre-schoolFirst Steps is our baby, toddler and parents group. We meet at the church each Thursday during term time from 10am–12pm for a fun group with toys, arts & crafts, singing, stories and snacks. We have a dedicated area for our youngest visitors as well as lots of toys for those who are a bit more sure on their feet. Of course, there are hot drinks for mums and dads, too!
We’d love to meet you and your little ones, whether tiny babies or toddling pre-schoolers. Of course, if you have any questions, just pop us a message!

7 Up
Age: 8–12 years old7 Up is our group for kids in School Years 4–8.
This group runs on Fridays from 7-8:30pm. It’s a mixture of games and other fun activities, which are followed by a short talk on the Bible. Then of course there’s the tuck, which the kids always enjoy!

Friday Club
Age: School Years 9–13For our older kids, our Friday Club is a little bit more informal. It takes place from 8:30–10pm on Fridays.
We still have organised activities, but there’s also time to just hang out together. Towards the end of the evening one of the leaders will give a short talk or share their testimony.

Hayes Ambassadors
Age: School Years R–11Hayes Ambassadors is our football programme and academy. There are three main aspects:
Hayes Ambassadors Football Academy (School Years R–11)
The Academy runs from 9–11am on Saturdays and is for boys and girls.
Training sessions are £2 and take place in a secure location in the grounds of Bromley Trust Academy, Hayes Lane, BR2 9EA which is situated behind our church.
We coach in a friendly, pressure free environment and have a ten minute break to share something of our faith with the kids. We hope to see our youngsters develop into talented players who can go on to represent the men’s team. At present our first Academy player made his debut this past season, scoring his first goal.
Hayes Ambassadors Soccer School
During the Easter holidays, we hold a soccer school for all children in school years R–11.
More details will be posted closer to the time.
Hayes Ambassadors Men’s Team
Founded in 1988, our men’s team competes in the Bromley and Croydon Christian FA Affiliated League. Our home ground is Norman Park and we have regular training sessions throughout the season. We’re always on the lookout for new players, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re interested in joining the team.
Messy Monkeys
Age: School Years R–6Messy Monkeys is our fun-packed Holiday Bible Club, which takes place during the summer holidays for all children of primary school age.
We are messy by name and by nature! The first thing we do each session is to get busy creating amazing art and craft projects. Then it’s time for games in the garden, involving the parachute, space-hoppers and even the paddling pool — just not at the same time!
After this, we settle down for an action-packed Bible Time, with a central theme running through the week. There’s a memory verse and a time of singing — with lots of actions, of course. After this, we head back in to our teams for some activites based on what we’ve learned.
Drinks and snacks are provided throughout the morning, and there are lots of opportunities to earn prizes as the week goes on. The last session of the club is our celebration service on the Sunday morning, which gives a chance to show all of the parents and families what we’ve been up to in the week!
More details will be announced closer to the time, but feel free to get in touch to register your interest. We ask for a contribution of £2 per child per session or a maximum of £5 per family.
